Intuitive Expression workshops utilize painting as a tool for self – discovery, healing, and spiritual exploration. This is a revolutionary way of unblocking creative potential and facilitating personal transformation.

Through the use of spontaneous intuition and the Point Zero method of self – questioning, participants find their authentic painting expression and free themselves from fears and judgments.

Using paints and brushes, you can dip into an unlimited creative flow. To paint without having to live up to any expectations, to paint for the joy of doing rather than for the product, is to explore the act of creation in an intimate way. Expressing our creativity is a way to get in touch with our true nature and awaken to the mystery of our lives. When creating with openness and vulnerability, you will find healing and profound understanding. The process will teach you how to be in the present moment with whatever arises.

In the studio you will experience a sacred space where you can express yourself fully. It’s a space where you can explore your creative process in an atmosphere of respectful non-judgment, where there is no competition or comparison. Paintings are not critiqued or analyzed, they are only a by-product of your inner process.

Intuitive Expression workshops are given in a supportive environment, stimulating free play and self-realization. No art experience is necessary, just the desire to unleash your natural spontaneous self-expression.

Natalia Rosenfeld

Natalia Rosenfeld M.A. has studied art in Russia and US. Since 1997 she worked as freelance sculptor and painting teacher. Natalia has found a union of her two passions, spirituality and creativity in the Point Zero method developed by well-known teacher, writer and painter Michele Cassou. Natalia trained and worked with Michele for 10 years as well as led her own workshops around the globe.

Sat Apr 28th & Sun Apr 29th 10:am to 4:pm
Lodge Hall-Museum Historical Centre

On the last weekend of April, the Artists of Uxbridge will be holding their 6th annual Art Show and Sale in the Lodge Hall, at the Museum grounds. Visitors can expect to find more than a hundred pieces of artwork painted by about 20 different artists using watercolour, acrylic, and oil, as well as wonderful pencil and charcoal drawings. The diverse interests of the artists are reflected in a variety of subjects, style and size of the artwork.

Artists of Uxbridge is a local art group established in 2005 with the intention of bringing artists together once or twice a week to draw and paint, share presentations and demonstrations, and participate in various workshops. A formal committee is in place to plan special activities and demonstrations.

Since its inception, the group has grown to some twenty-five members.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the Show and to browse the artwork and chat with the artists over coffee and a cookie. Who knows, if something appeals, you may find yourself buying an original, a print or an art card.

Saturday, March 24 – J.P. Cormier in Concert. The Dnes Sisters will open.

INTERNATIONAL STARS TO HEADLINE UXBRIDGE CHARITY CONCERTS

Two of Canada’s top award-winning musical talents will light up the stage at the Uxbridge Music Hall as they headline the EIGHTH ANNUAL Silverbirch Charity concerts.

Ottawa-based Lynn Miles will star in the Friday, March 23, concert, fresh from her triumph at this winter’s Canadian Folk Music Awards. Miles was honored as Songwriter of the Year for her current album, “Fall For Beauty,” which also earned a nomination for Contemporary Album of the Year. Miles is also a Juno award winner, has released seven albums and toured internationally.

She’ll be accompanied on guitar and mandolin by Keith Glass, a founding member of the acoustic country supergroup, Prairie Oyster. The Cris Cuddy Acoustic Unit will open the show with great original songs, hot picking, and fine harmony.

But that’s only the beginning of a stellar weekend at the Music Hall. If you love great guitar-picking as well as hot fiddling, mandolin-playing and banjo-picking there’s an extra special treat in store at the Saturday, March 24 show.

Nova Scotia’s J.P. Cormier will be making his final appearance after announcing his retirement from touring and live performance. Cormier, a multi-award winner as an instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, will be backed by his longtime partners, The Elliott Brothers, in a show that ranges from lilting maritime folk, to blistering bluegrass. This could be the last chance for area acoustic music-lovers to catch a live performance by the man Chet Atkins called “one of the most important guitar players of his generation.” The Dnes Sisters will kick off the evening with toe-tapping fiddle music.

Tickets will be $25.00 per person per show. Tickets online at www.silverbirchcharityconcert.ca or Email TJMcCreight@aol.com: or phone Tom at 416-540-9831.
