Acting – The Real Thing – workshop

Acting – The Real Thing

What is expected of the professional actor?
What is the real thing when it comes to a career in acting?

This two hour workshop will open up the real world of acting through exercises that demonstrate how to best use the actor’s instrument… yourself.

Taught by Anna MacKay-Smith, an acting teacher for 20 years to professionals, actor, director and producer and Sam Coyle, just out of a two year acting program at the HB Studio in New York City. Sam attended Uxbridge High School three years ago and will talk about how working in the real world of acting opened her eyes. Anna, artistic director of The Motley Theatre Company in Uxbridge and director of The MOM Project and The AhMen Project will speak of her career of teaching young actors fresh out of high school who seriously wanted to have a career as an actor.

This hands on workshop will be lots of fun and a real eye-opener for both those interested in becoming an actor and those who wish to know more about the theatre and film world.
