Seasons Greetings from the UAA

On behalf of the Uxbridge Arts Association, I would like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and all the best for 2008. Here are a few events to keep in mind as the final days of December roll past:

Choirs of Uxbridge Coral Concert
is this TONIGHT Friday Dec 21 at 7:30 – Trinity United Church. This concert was rescheduled from last Sunday afternoon.
Original tickets will be honored and tickets are available at the door.

Exhibit Space Available – The Musical Hall board is making an exhibit wall available for local artists to hang their work. The space is downstairs by the coat-check and washrooms. Work will be hung in one month rotations. Please contact Conrad Boyce for details at cosmosboyce@powergate.ca. Space will be allotted on a first come-first serve basis.

On Stage Uxbridge is looking for volunteers to work Front of House for Seussical – The Musical. Show dates are January 17 – 19 and 24 – 26, 2008. Reply to this e-mail if you would like to participate and we will put you in touch with the production team. have you got your tickets yet? They are on sale at Brock St. Music.

DVDs of A Place to Stand (Christopher Chapman’s 1967 Academy Award winning short film) are available to purchase this Christmas at Blue Heron Books. Visit the Blue Heron to see the Oscar award!

Training and Education – Many new arts related programs start in January at Durham College (Uxbridge Campus). Follow this link to see what is being offered

Children’s Literature Course
– Instructor is award-winning (and local) children’s author Wendy A. Lewis. Class takes place Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, from January 14 to March 24, 2008 (no class March 10.)
